DALTON DAYS 2006

Attended by a number of reenactors from as far away as Texas and Arkansas, Dalton Days brought back to life the late nineteenth century.  Participants staged gunfights and skits, and portrayed characters such as Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp.  Craftsmen, from metalworkers to leatherworkers to woodworkers displayed their wares.  Lasting two days, the festival featured several competitions among the reenactors, with awards being handed out at the conclusion of the festival.  Dickie Stanley was the big winner, taking home several awards and thrilling the audience with his performances.  I was privilieged to attend, representing both myself and David Brooks of
